An Update on the Most Recent Update

It appears my last update about JL8’s schedule was a bit premature.

As some of you may know, there was a school shooting here in St. Louis on Monday morning. By the grace of God, it was stopped quickly, but two people are dead who should still be with us.

School shootings are always upsetting. Always, But when it happens in your own city, a mile and a half from your home, at a school you’ve passed by countless times in your life, and when an old high school friend is a teacher at said school and survived the shooting, it definitely makes it more difficult to process.

I’ve been attempting to work the past few days, and have found it nearly impossible to focus my attention long enough to get any kind of meaningful work done. As such, my first week of “take two weeks to build up a JL8 buffer” has largely been a complete wash.

As a result, JL8 will be returning two weeks from NEXT Monday, as opposed to the previously scheduled two weeks from this past Monday. I apologize not because I feel guilty for being affected by these events, but because I am sorry that this is happening at all.

As this is a subject I’ve been speaking about more regularly on other platforms, I appreciate those of you who have reached out. However, I want to be clear that I have no desire to “make this about me,” but rather am simply trying to be transparent regarding the state of myself, which in turn is essentially the state of the strip.

I’m incredibly lucky to have such a kind and considerate fan base, and I thank you all in advance for your understanding.

Love,

Yale
