6-Week Slim-Down: Your best weight-loss advice

Best weight loss advice

The Internet is a sea of weight-loss advice. It seems everyone swears to have the key piece of information you need to magically drop those extra pounds. Naturally, some of that advice is better than others—certain tips could be counterproductive or even dangerous—but much of it depends on the person. Pointers that work for one person’s lifestyle don’t necessarily work for another’s. For instance, while some people swear by their morning workout to give them the energy to keep going for the day, I just can’t manage it in a busy morning and find that, for me, exercise is a great way to burn off stress at the end of a long day.

Sometimes it’s about trying different kinds of advice until you find something that works for you. And talking to others about their best advice can help us all find new ways to succeed. Over the years I’ve had a number of experts tell me how important it is to eat protein for breakfast. I finally got around to trying it—adding seeds like hemp and chia to my morning smoothie or oatmeal—and now I’m a believer. And I’ve always found success staying healthy by following the advice to prep veggies and healthy snacks on the weekend, so I don’t even have to think about what I’ll reach for when I’m hungry.

So this week, we want to know:

What’s the best weight-loss advice you’ve ever received?
